Printing in Switzerland costs more than printing in some European countries. Yet more and more brands are making the deliberate choice to produce their printed materials on Swiss soil. Beyond the “made in Switzerland” marketing argument, this is a strong industrial and environmental choice. Here are the four dimensions that explain why Swiss paper changes the way your printed materials are perceived, and why we made this choice at ALL YOU PRINT.
1. Full paper traceability
The paper we use comes mainly from European paper mills (Austria, Italy, Switzerland) that document the origin of every tonne. From the sustainably managed forest to the reel delivered to our workshop, we know where every sheet comes from. For you, this means your printed material contains no fibres from tropical deforestation or illegal logging. It is a moral and legal guarantee (the EUDR regulation requires this traceability from 2025).
2. FSC and Cradle to Cradle certifications
Our main papers carry FSC certification (Forest Stewardship Council), which guarantees that the source forests are managed responsibly from an environmental, social and economic standpoint. Some of our premium papers are also Cradle to Cradle Bronze or Silver certified, which means they are designed to enter an endless reuse cycle, creating no waste at the end of their life. You can communicate these certifications on your printed materials, a strong argument for your clients who care about CSR issues.
3. Reduced environmental impact
Printing in Switzerland means reducing your logistics footprint. Your printed materials do not cross Europe by truck or ship to reach you. Our workshop delivers throughout Switzerland in 48h via a specialised carrier, and Europe in 4 to 6 days. Our plant-based inks (soybean or linseed oil based) replace traditional petroleum inks across almost all of our production. Our paper offcuts are recycled at more than 95% through a certified local channel.
4. Superior visual and tactile finish
This is probably the most subjective argument, but also the most immediately noticeable. Quality Swiss and European paper has a feel, an opacity and a response to ink that low-end Asian papers do not have. A business card printed on a European 350g matte stock has a thickness, a touch and a rigidity you can feel in less than a second. Your clients may not be able to explain it technically, but they will feel the difference. And that is exactly what you want.
