Formats and bindings

The binding determines how your brochure will be used:

• Saddle stitching (classic): many formats such as A4, A5 or A6, from 100 pieces
• Magazines in small print runs: digital printing from 1 to 200 copies, 8 to 80 pages depending on format, portrait, landscape or square
• Wire-O binding: sturdy binding on the left in black, silver or white, 8 to 200 pages, from 5 pieces
• Eyelet binding: for filing in a binder, for example in A4 or 17 x 24 cm, 8 to 116 pages
• Magazines in your own format: width and height to the millimetre between A5 and A4, 8 to 48 pages
• 6-page cover: an extra fold-in page for more information, in A5 or A4, from 2,500 pieces
• Notebooks: A6, A5, A4 or square, with a squared, ruled or blank interior

Papers and finishes

130 g and 170 g matt coated paper are especially popular for the cover and inner pages. For a sustainable look, choose natural and recycled papers such as Gmund Used 0 in 300 g, or a pearlescent board cover for a refined look. Hot foil, additional colours, relief varnish or gloss or matt film lamination enhance and protect your pages. For waiting rooms and trade fair stands, magazines with antimicrobial varnish are also available. Depending on the configuration, the papers are FSC or PEFC certified.

Delivery time and shipping in Switzerland

In the configurator, you set format, page count, paper, binding and print run, and the price in CHF appears immediately. Your print file is checked before printing. For saddle stitching, you see the exact delivery time before you order. We deliver to Zurich, Basel, Bern and throughout Switzerland.

Who is it for?

• Companies and institutions: image brochures, product catalogues, annual reports and training materials with Wire-O binding.
• Clubs and schools: a club magazine, event programme or annual report, mostly with saddle stitching.
• Hospitality businesses and private individuals: menus in a magazine format or a personal birthday magazine in a small print run.

For short messages and large distribution campaigns, flyers are the better fit. If you want to present content compactly folded without any binding, folded leaflets are available in the same category. How is the page count of a brochure counted?

With saddle stitching, the chosen page count includes the cover: the number of inner pages plus 4 cover pages. A magazine with 96 inner pages therefore has 100 pages in total.

Can I have a magazine printed in just a single copy?

Yes, magazines in small print runs are available from 1 copy up to 200 pieces, printed digitally in full colour on both sides. This suits a birthday magazine, a prototype or a small club print run.

Which binding suits my brochure?

Saddle stitching is the classic solution for magazines and programmes. Wire-O binding is sturdy and suits documents that are used often, for example for training courses, while eyelet binding allows filing in a binder.
